yes, the code in windows 8, unfortunately looks that is not so changeable.
it is very hard to do modifications such as that i did in windows 7, setting the preview pane to top, and this is a big dissapointment.

here, to windows 8 both, preview pane and details pane setted to the right, to windows 7 i have setted details pane to the right and preview pane to top, [link] the code parameters and code organised complete different than windows 8.
Panda from what i understood is trying to 'transfer' the conditions of windows 8 so to have a similar result to windows 7.

i will give some new screenshots here to da for see it better.
to windows 7 it took me hundreds thousands hours to set the details pane code to shell32.dll to the right side (to windows this happened only to windows 8 BUT BUT to windows 8 the code programmers of microsoft have added to the base library NEW base code that does not exist to windows 7. i writte this for understanding the difficultie.
but as i see its very difficult or impossible to set the code of the preview pane to top as i did to windows 7, and this is a dissapointment. [since now i have failed explorer becomes white when i tried, perchaps not possible]
so there is a pane that is NAMED : DETAILS container to the right, inside it there are 2 pane , details pane and preview (reading) pane. to the staus bar that exist to the bottom there are buttons with them you can select which of the 2 pane you like to choose, details pane or preview (reading) pane. so only 1 of them can appear every time to the right part of the window. there is another button (or you can use a shortcut Alt+p or the folderband preview button) so to appear or dissapear the dETAILS container to the right.
now about the statusbar to the bottom: in windows vista and 7 , if you like to appear dissapear the statusbar, you can do it as : press f10, menu at top of explorer opened, then go to View --> Statusbar
to windows 8 since now , the statusbar is at the bottom always shown.
so the construction is different.[for now i dont like it, we see if something in future changed].
