NO RIBBON mac osX is an os x style theme for Windows 8 rtm , inspired from the mac os X and made under my personal view.

It does not contain RIBBON to explorer.

This kind of Theme with no ribbon, made because some users who don't like ribbon asked me for.

For the other people who use ribbon, this is not a choice, its better use my platinum ones [link] .

Here on this download, are 2 Themes and visual styles that can be used only on Windows 8 RTM .

How to open pane :

we will use the folderband for appearing of the pane's, such as the preview pane or the details pane.

i have setted the folderband inside the preview pane so what you need to do for appear it is press from your keyboard : ALT + P

Then go to your folderband at top and select Organise, Layout ---> select/deselect the pane you want>

press again ALT + P for dissapear the preview pane. see [link]

THIS WORK its not a stand alone work.

It has 2 compact visual styles and 2 system files (explorerFrame.dll and shell32.dll) for each version (32 bit and 64 bit)

Names of the visual styles/themes:

06 is a light gray version with thin vertical separators and white main surface.

H403 is a light gray version with thin vertical separators and a light blue main surface so for be more relaxing after many hours work to pc.

These themes have been made to be used with the system files that included to this pack, otherwise they will not look as in picture.

With this theme, with have dissapeared the ribbon from explorer but not from applications that needed the explorer, so for having a white or a black version of those applications, such as 'Paint' etc download my Platinum Theme for Windows 8 rtm [link]

there exist 32 and 64 bit version uiribbon.dll system files for that.

as also :

The construction of the mstyles/visual style in windows 8 rtm, is such so when we have a compact looking style, like that included to this pack, when we use an aplication, we can not have at the top of it a separator line between the menu and titlebar of the application, so i just make only 2 compact themes .

But you can use my Platinum ones that have not this issue, though to Platinum's themes, to explorer, the rebar part, where exist adress bar, search bar and navigation buttons are looking as a separate area.

Tips

For dissapearing the status bar at the bottom of explorer's window go to Control PanelAll Control Panel Items select 'FOLDER OPTIONS', select 'view' then deselect the 'Show Status bar'

Setting small title font on titlebar :
go to Control PanelAppearance and PersonalizationDisplay and set to the section 'Change only the text size' to '9' and select/check the 'bold' option.

Download Leftsider from [link] so to set the min, max,close buttons to left. But attention applications which used ribbon such as Paint will not work setting properly when use the leftsider setting to left the min, max,close buttons. So go to taskbar and select to the icon of leftsider so to change the buttons to right or use some oher solutions such [link]
